Maruti Suzuki cuts production for 8th straight month

Maruti Suzuki has been forced to cut its production for the 8th consecutive month due to lack of demand for passenger vehicles. The company's total vehicle production last month was 1,19,337 while it was 1,50,497 in October last year. The passenger vehicle production was also down 117,383 units from 148,318 in October last year. The van production slipped almost half from 13,817 in October 2018 to 7,661 last month.
