Delhi Govt reveals electric vehicle policy, aims to reduce air pollution by offering subsidies for EV

Delhi govt approved the Delhi Electric Vehicle policy 2019, with an aim to reduce air pollution by offering subsidies, waiving road tax & registration fee for electric vehicles bought in the city. It has a plan to force pollution cess on petrol vehicles in the future. The govt aims to register a least 5 lakh EV's in Delhi in the next 5 years. Kejriwal said after the policy gets implemented, will make Delhi 'EV Capital of India'.
