Court bans Skoda from using `Monte Carlo' name in India

Court has banned Skoda India for using the Monte Carlo name in its car in India over trademark violation as Monte Carlo is Ludhiana based clothing brand. Monte Carlo reached court over this issue after Skoda started taking bookings for the Rapid Monte Carlo edition which was launched in August. This ban will also restrain Skoda from using any other trademark related to Monte Carlo.
