Audi slashes its workforce by 7500 to free up money for electric cars

Audi, which is owned by Volkswagen, is reducing its workforce by 7500 and also said it would cut 9500 jobs by 2025 or roughly 10% of the global workforce. But, it will create 2000 jobs parallelly which will focus on electric mobility and other new technology. It guaranteed jobs for its remaining employees through 2029. These changes will free up $6.6 billion over 10 years that Audi plans to invest in future cars.
