World’s highest rail lines to be constructed on China border in Ladakh

Indian Railways is working to connect Ladakh with New Delhi and are working in speed on the Bilaspur-Manali-Leh broad-gauge rail line. In 30 months final location survey is expected to be completed after which a detailed report will be finalized. The project is expected to cost Rs 83,360 crore. The railway line will be 465 km long and the tracks will be 5,360 meters above the sea level making it world’s first such track.
