Social media companies frame 'Code of Ethics' for upcoming elections
The IAMAI & social media firms' representatives will now come up with a 'Code of Ethics' before the polls, decided by the EC in a meeting. The EC Chief stressed that even social media firms need to adhere to MCC as followed by politicians. EC prohibits social media from displaying political ads & is trying to come up with a notification system for identifying & flagging political ads that are not pre-verified yet appear.
