Rs. 4000 crore spent on India's Swachh Bharat Mission's Information, Education and Communication

Around Rs. 3500 to 4000 crores have been spent on SBM since it was launch in 2014. This includes expenditure done by government, private, and developmental communities. Swachh Bharat Mission has been highly successful in spreading awareness of sanitation, as a result of which, over 10 crores toilets were built in the last 5 years. More than 500 million people are benifitted by the idea of sanitation.
