Report: Rishabh Pant asked to join Team India in England

Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has reportedly been asked to join Team India in England as a cover for Shikhar Dhawan who has been ruled out of the World Cup with a thumb injury. Pant won’t be an official replacement of Dhawan for now as the Indian team management wants to keep the opener under observation for a few days. Rishabh Pant and Ambati Rayudu were named as designated standbys by the selectors earlier.
