RBI's data reveals India's foreign exchange at new record of $430 Billion

According to the latest RBI data released on Friday, India's foreign exchange reserves surged by $1.620 billion to $430.75 billion in the first week of August due to rise in foreign currency assets. Expressed in dollar terms, foreign currency assets include the effect of appreciation/depreciation of non-US units such as Euro, Pound, Yen which were held in reserves. The country's gold reserves had also increased.
