Princess Diana almost starred in ‘The Bodyguard’ sequel

Kevin Costner has claimed Princess Diana came really close to playing the female lead in the sequel of ‘The Bodyguard’. In the 1992 original, Kevin played former Secret Service agent-turned-bodyguard Frank Farmer, hired to protect a music star Rachel Marron, played by Whitney Houston, from an unknown stalker. Diana even agreed to do the role when Kevin talked to her over the phone. However, the sequel never happened.
