It is surprising that organizers of the tournament on Tuesday have said that the FIFA World Cup 2018 has added more than $14 billion to the Russian economy. It is 1% more than the nation’s gross domestic product. It was revealed, when the CEO of Russia's World Cup organizing committee, Alexey Sorkin shared a report on the economic, social and environmental effect of the event. The figures are surprising, he said.
