#MeToo effect: Uttarakhand BJP general secretary sacked over sexual harassment charges

After a woman party worker accused Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Sanjay Kumar of sexually harassing her, BJP has fired him. This news came amid former Union Minister MJ Akbar is making news under MeToo. Action against Kumar comes after the central leadership of the party decided to prevent a party image after the allegations surfaced. BJP high command summoned Kumar to New Delhi over the issue.
