Marvel, Sony to reunite for one more 'Spider-Man' film

Marvel and Sony have struck a surprising deal to make a third ‘Spider-Man’ film together after officially splitting. The new film will release on July 16, 2021, with Jon Watts returning as director. Watts had previously helmed the ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’, with Tom Holland in the titular role. The new deal will use the movie to write Spider-Man out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
