Lit 3,00,000 lamps on Diwali, Ayodhya earns Guinness World Record

After lighting up the whole town with 3,00,000 lamps, Ayodhya, where Lord Ram is said to be born has earned a Guinness World Record on Tuesday on the occasion of Diwali. Diwali is also known as the festival of light, celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and Jains and going by the reference the town exactly lit 301,152 Diyas on the banks of the river Saryu and kept them alight for nearly 45 minutes to earn the Guinness record.
