J&K, Ladakh to become two separate UTs, will have a common high court

Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh will become two separate Union territories from October 31, but the two UTs will have a common high court, the State Judicial academy director Rajeev Gupta stated. Gupta also stated that 108 central laws would be applicable for the two UTs while 164 state laws would be repealed and 166 state laws will continue to be applicable. Parliament had approved the resolution and passed the bill as well.
