Jammu and Kashmir comes under President's rule

Following 6 months of Governor's rule in J&K which comes to an end on December 19, President's rule imposed as President Ram Nath Kovind signed a proclamation on Wednesday to bring a central rule in the state from midnight. The state came under Governor’s rule after the BJP pulled out of an alliance with the PDP. The Governor also dissolved the assembly last month after regional parties staked claim to form the govt.
