Indian Army Officer who Lost Vision in IED Blast, Is Now Appointed in UNICEF

Major Gopal Mitra, an Indian Army officer had lost vision during the IED blasts. Regardless of all obstacles, he continued his education in Masters in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He further did MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics. He has now been appointed as a program specialist at the UNICEF headquarters. He is the first differently-abled Indian to get appointed in UNICEF.
