In order to cut training costs & time, China Clones "Sherlock Holmes of Police Dogs"

China opts for cloning to save money & time spent on training police dogs. Usually, it takes 5 years & 500,000 yuan with no guarantee of success, to train a police dog. A Beijing based Sinogene company cloned a dog named 'Kunxun' from police sniffer dog with the ministry's support. They tend to achieve volume production of cloned police dogs to save training time but the cloning cost is a major hindrance.
