About 1400 Top Companies in India hit by IL&FS Pandemic

The IL&FS contagion is now a full-blown pandemic as IANS reports extensively but the numbers are staggering. 1400 firms have a total exposure of Rs 9700 crore with lakhs of employee PPF stuck in toxic IL&FS bonds. The exposure is spread over different entities-IFIN which is bulk with 970 firms followed by ITNL & HREL. There is no way that IL&FS or govt will not be able to return money as companies involved have gone belly up.
