Get ready to see EVs on road, Maruti to start testing phase next month

At the Move Summit, the chairman of the Suzuki Motors Corporation has announced that in October 2018, it is going to start the testing phase of its electric vehicle prototypes in India. It is planning to put 50 cars on road to collect power system and performance data on Indian roads and traffic and climatic conditions. But the cars which the company will test will not be the ones which will come to the Indian car market.
