German price-comparison platform sues Google over search results

A German price comparison platform has files suit against Google, accusing Google of abusing its dominant position by favouring its own price-comparison service in search results. The complaint is filed in Berlin state court. Berlin-based Idealo GmbH said the suit is based on a 2017 decision to fine Google 2.42 billion euros for giving an unfair advantage to its own comparison shopping service in violation of EU rules.
