EC welcomes new Chief Election Commissioner ahead of 2019 elections

Ahead of the 2019 General Elections, the Election Commission has welcomed its new Chief Election Commissioner, Sunil Arora. He will resume his services from 2nd December and will oversee the 2019 elections. He has replaced OP Rawat to become the 23rd CEC of India. President Ram Nath Kovind cleared his appointment to the post. Sunil was an IAS officer of 1980-batch and was also the Skill Development Secretary.
