Chanda Kochhar steps down as ICICI Bank CEO

Amid inquiry into the allegations raised by a new whistleblower against ICICI Bank Ceo Chanda Kochhar, she steps down from the post of CEO and MD with immediate effect. The Board of Directors of ICICI Bank Limited has accepted her resignation and enquiry against her will continue as earlier. Sandeep Bakshi will succeed her for a period of five years until October 3, 2023, subject to regulatory and other approvals.
