BJP president Amit Shah, on Saturday, appointed former Union minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy as a new BJP national spokesperson. The party said that Rudy will resume his work with immediate effect. He was given sovereign charge of skill development ministry by PM Modi but then later was abandoned in a cabinet reshuffle. Rudy, a Lok Sabha MP from Bihar, had defeated Lalu Prasad's wife Rabri Devi in 2014 general elections.
