As a result of data breaching Uber faces fine of $1.17 million

In 2016, the personal details of millions of customers were breached by Uber. On Tuesday, the British and Dutch authorities have imposed a fine of $1.17 million on the cab services providing company. The authorities imposed this fine as the company failed to protect the data of millions of users. The Dutch Data Protection Authority imposed $679,257 fine and the UK's ICO imposed $491,284 fine on Uber.
