Varanasi administration urges tourists to cancel trip in April amid surge in Covid cases

Varanasi District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma urged tourists to not visit the holy city in April as coronavirus cases in the city surged at an "unprecedented" rate. A negative RT-PCR test report has been made mandatory for those entering the famous Kashi-Vishwanath temple. The city has 10,206 active infections, the third-highest in the state. 1,585 new Coronavirus cases were recorded on Wednesday.
