Over 300 Shramic trains to run carrying migrant workers to their hometown, expected to run till May 17

The Indian Railways is gearing up to press more than 300 Shramik Specials into service for stranded passengers by 17 May, the last day of the extended lockdown, to help all the migrant labourers reach their hometown amid the outbreak of the pandemic. Till now, the Indian Railways has operationalised more than 30 specials for various destinations from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.
