Northeast to get more airports
To promote air connectivity in the Northeast, the centre is planning to open 92 new air routes, 19 new airports and 17 new heliports under Udaan scheme. Union minister of state for civil aviation, Jayant Sinha made this statement at the inaugural session of the 'North East Development Summit' in Manipur. The second round of bidding commenced in August for Udaan scheme is in its final stages, he added.
