India has announced relaxations in the e-visa rules for Chinese citizens to improve people to people interaction between the two nations. The decision to fulfil China's long-standing demand was strategically scheduled to coincide with Jinping's visit to India. The authorities have decided to offer multiple-entry five-year visas at a cost of $80. The validity of an e-visa is just 60 days under existing rules.
