Did you know- 17 people die every hour in India. And the main reason is road accidents! As per government data, almost 1.5 lakh people lost their lives in road accidents in 2017; the number of fatalities being 1/3rd of the number of accidents which is equal to 53 accidents every hour. Of all the states, UP is worst with 20,124 people losing their lives in road accidents followed by TN, Maharashtra, Karnataka & Rajasthan.
