Modi II government has removed all temporary restrictions in Indian airspace enforced since Feb 27. Sources say this is essentially India's gesture to Pakistan to open up its airspace for overflying reciprocally & shorten the flying distance between parts of South Asia. Pakistan extended the closure of its airspace for overflying till mid-June, earlier this week. Air India is the worst affected airline due to this ban.
