'Highway of accidents': Yamuna Expressway witnessed nearly 4,900 accidents in over 5 years

The Yamuna Expressway seems to have become a highway of accidents. As per RTI data, at least 77 people died this year in accidents only on the 165 km expressway. 29 people died on Monday. The NGO SaveLIFE Foundation said 703 lives were lost in 4,880 accidents between Aug 2012 & Jan 2018, when the expressway was opened for commercial operations. Another data shows 4956 accidents reported since its inception until Mar 2018.
