Fiji Airways scrapped more than half its workforce, nearly 758 people, as travel restrictions have cut the airline's revenue to almost zero. The rest of the staff’s salaries will be cut by 20% starting in June. The airline will extend flight cuts to August. Fiji Airways largely depend on tourism, especially from neighbours Australia and New Zealand, but virtually all of their flights got suspended amid the crisis.
