Etihad Airways says UK is the proper venue for dispute with Air Berlin

After administrators of Air Berlin filed an insolvency case for damages of up to 2 billion euros against Etihad Airways in Berlin, the later has begun legal proceedings in London to dispute the German airline's claim, arguing that the UK is the proper venue for the dispute. Etihad had withdrawn backing despite promising to provide funding and Air Berlin claimed that Etihad had not complied with its financial obligations,
