A second airport in Kolkata might be possible

Ashok Gajapathi Raju, the Civil Aviation Minister has declared that if there is land available then a second airport in Kolkata might be possible. Currently, Kolkata has one Airport (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport) and the Civil Aviation Minister said that if the State Government agrees to find a plot big enough for an airport then it will happen soon as a part of Centers Regional connectivity scheme.
