A group of researchers from the University of Sydney has developed a process through which the world’s smelliest fruit known as durian can be turned into an alternative form of energy storage. The team opted for durian and also jackfruit waste through a non-toxic, non-hazardous method to create energy stores termed as super-capacitors. They believe further research can develop mobile phone chargers from the waste.
