US labels Huawei, ZTE as “national security threats” after India bans TikTok and 58 other apps

In another major strike on Chinese technology and business, United States FCC’s Public Security and Homeland Security Bureau has designated Chinese tech giants Huawei and ZTE as “national security threats”. With the move, companies in US are now barred from accessing an $8.3 billion US government fund to purchase equipment from Huawei and ZTE. Huawei was set to unroll 5G services in various countries.
