US conducts successful test of hypersonic missile technology

With an eye on China's increasing dominance in the Indo-Pacific, US successfully conducted a test of hypersonic missile technology. China has already developed such technology. The test was conducted Wednesday at a NASA facility in Wallops, Virginia. The US Navy said it is a "vital step in the development of a Navy-designed common hypersonic missile." It further added that the test "demonstrated advanced hypersonic technologies."
