A team of researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati has claimed to have developed a new technology to harvest water from the air. The technology uses the concept of hydrophobicity to harvest water. “Such water-harvesting techniques use the concept of hydrophobicity or water-repelling nature of some materials," lead researcher Uttam Manna said. The team has produced "a highly efficient water harvesting interface."
