Dr Amruta Gadge, a physicist in UK has created fifth state of matter from her living room during the Covid19 lockdown. Even though she was using from her home and away from the lab, she was able to use her computer to control the lasers and radio waves to create the Bose-Einstein condensate. According to the researchers, this is the first time someone has established a BEC by working from home, and not directly from a lab.
