South Korean researchers use AI to stop suicide attempts from bridges

South Korea has the highest suicide rate in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development group of nations. Researchers at the Seoul Institute of Technology created an AI that helps prevent suicide attempts. “We hope the additional CCTV will enable our personnel to detect the incidents a little sooner and assist us to respond to a call more promptly,” said Kim Hyeong-Gil of the Yeouido Water Rescue Brigade.
