New research from the Universities Space Research Association suggests the lava flows on Venus might be only a few years old, which suggests that Venus could be volcanically active even today. It makes Venus the only planet in our solar system, except Earth, with recent eruptions. Scientists say this discovery will shed light on how planets cool down and why Earth and Venus have active volcanism, but Mars doesn’t.
