A Duke University research team has located an area of mice brains that can turn off or control the sense of pain. It’s a breakthrough in medical science as it can help in the development of future pain-killing drugs. The team said that the area is located in the central amygdala. This area is generally known for the home of negative emotions and responses, like the fight or flight response and general anxiety.
