Scientists discover twinkling heart of Milky Way

Astronomers have identified a series of quasi-periodic flickers in millimeter-waves from the center of Milky Way Sagittarius (Sgr) A* using the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array. These blinks are the result of the rotation of radio spots that circle the massive black hole. Its orbit radius is smaller than that of Mercury. This could be a vital clue in the investigation of space-time with extreme gravity.
