In a trial technology, shared between New Zealand and France, scientists have come up with albatrosses that were fitted with radar detection tags and were released to the south of the Indian Ocean. The radar detection tags locate fishing boats in remote seas and also report back which boat is fishing illegally. In northern hemisphere, 169 such albatrosses reported 1/3rd of the ships are not likely to be legal.
