Russia owns the most space junk orbiting earth

Space junk is filling up earth’s orbit and Russia has contributed more than anyone to the collection. A new study has revealed which countries own the garbage floating in space and Russia is has 14,403 pieces while US holds the 2nd spot with 8,734. The compiled data shows more than 30,000 particles from satellites, rockets and man-made devices are orbiting Earth, more than double found in orbit two years ago.
