Farmers in New Zealand are now using a four-legged robot, more specifically a robot dog, to herd sheep, patrol fields, and other agricultural tasks. The project is a part of a demonstration of Spot – the robotic dog developed by Massachusetts-based engineering firm Boston Dynamics. Equipped with software developed by robotics company Rocos, Spot was controlled remotely to shepherd sheep across a mountainside.
