Registration on Aarogya Setu app will be mandatory to setup new smartphones: Govt

With an attempt to prevent the spread of coronavirus, registering on Aarogya Setu will be mandatory for all new smartphones before they can be set up and used, govt sources told media. The official added that the govt has instructed mobile phone companies post lockdown to not just have the app as a pre-installed service, but also ensure that individuals register on it, before they start using it.
