Ola rolling out AI-enabled safety feature “Guardian” in India

India-based cab-hailing unicorn Ola has started to roll out its new IT-enabled safety feature “Guardian” in 16 Indian cities and Perth in Australia. Ola had initially ran a pilot across multiple cities in India before launching the service. Ola has claimed that “Guardian” will improve risk signaling and instant resolution. In between rides, there will be a facial recognition system for the drivers to identify themselves.
