NSDL puts a full stop to e-signature services with immediate effect

The National Securities Depository (NSDL) has stopped E-sign, a service that allowed Aadhaar holders to digitally sign a document, immediately. "As advised by UIDAI, we are stopping e-sign services with immediate effect,” the authority said in an order it released. The decision was taken as NSDL faced issues integrating different data sets for purposes of verification, mismatches and submission of fakes.
